The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club in Gowanus is offering retro fun with friends, food and drinks for the Brooklyn community.
Jonathan Schnapp started this business more than a decade ago out of his love for shuffleboard.
"I used to play shuffleboard as a kid with my grandparents," Schnapp says.
That nostalgia has led to this business with a vintage Florida vibe, according to Schnapp.
In shuffleboard, the goal is to score the highest number by landing discs on numbers on the court. It's also good to knock out your opponents discs.
Visitors can reserve a court by signing up when they walk in or by booking a cabana.
Royal Palms also has its own league where beginners and professionals can get in on the action two days a week.
Royal Palms is a 21-and-older club with a full-service bar offering beer, cocktails and mocktails. It also has food an always changing selection of food.
"We drive food trucks in, and we change them out every week," says Schnapp.
The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club is open on weekdays at 6 p.m. and on weekends at noon. Click here to learn more.
